OneMain Financial is seeking a Senior Software Engineer . This role will be on-site at our corporate site in West Valley City, UT. This full-stack position is responsible for designing, developing, and testing software for OneMain’s proprietary systems, including the loan origination system (LOS), loan servicing system (LSS), omfauto.com, phone system (Twilio Flex), and other ancillary systems. The role involves direct collaboration with subject matter experts across various business lines such as Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Credit, Legal, and Customer Service. Key Responsibilities Work independently with developed technical skills, responsible for executing complete tasks within projects, often guiding junior staff. Operate autonomously, taking initiative across multiple priorities, and seeking opportunities for larger project segments. Establish relationships, understand dependencies and risks, and communicate complex information effectively. Identify process improvements, challenge oneself to learn and adapt, and prioritize quality and automation in deliverables. Use critical thinking to solve complex problems, develop innovative solutions, and mitigate incidents proactively. Collaborate across teams, resolve issues with minimal supervision, and begin mentoring others by sharing knowledge. Demonstrate personal leadership and initiative, supporting team success. Job Requirements 5+ years of software engineering experience Fluency in C# and the .NET Framework Expertise in T-SQL (SSMS), database design & development Proficiency with WPF, XAML, LINQ Experience with WebApi, JSON, XML, and API integration Knowledge of MVC, HTML, JQuery; exposure to React, Node.js, Angular Strong understanding of OOP, SOA, and multi-tier architecture Ability to clearly explain technical work and discuss concepts beyond immediate tasks Enthusiasm for continuous learning, understanding of broader technical strategies, and familiarity with Agile, cloud computing BSc in a computer-related field Excellent communication skills Who We Are At OneMain, you can earn a competitive salary plus incentives, with opportunities for leadership roles through robust training programs.
